Travel guide to Kaifu District released

A travel guide to Kaifu District for the upcoming May Day holiday was released on April 27. 

There will be four interesting festivals as well as a series of wonderful activities such as camping, flower appreciation, nostalgia tour in old streets, and cultural exhibitions.

The Pet Festival will continue in the Changsha Dongqu Kingdom until May 5, with a sea of azaleas, animal NPCs, and a pet talent competition. Tourists can take cute pets home for free for one day by visiting it three times.  

The 8th International Street Art Festival and the Ocean Roar Festival will kick off in Changsha Window of the World and Changsha Sea World respectively from May 1 to May 5. Street artists from home and abroad will perform nearly a hundred street dramas in Changsha Window of the World and the only mobiles drama bus in Changsha will take tourists to enjoy them. At Changsha Sea World, college student bands will sing their songs and ocean sitcoms will be staged with dances of Russian girls.

The 2nd Cute Pet Friendly Life Festival will continue at the Joy City in the Beichen Delta of Changsha until May 5. Pet owners can walk their pets and an 8-meter giant Shiba Inu doll will make its appearance. The Wilderness Park and Pet Life Market will also be open simultaneously. Pet owners can receive limited cute pet badges.

In addition, the Chaozong Street Historical and Cultural Block and the Changsha Museum will present a series of nostalgic activities and special exhibitions. 

On May 1, a special event will be launched in Chaozong Street to offer free creative street photography for people and art exhibitions featuring retro gramophoness, old-fashioned wooden furniture, and jinrikisha installations. Also, a tea art teacher will perform the beautiful Song-style Diancha.

The exhibition featuring the life of the Tang Dynasty County Princess Jinxiang in the Changsha Museum from April 26 to June 30 will bring visitors back to the Tang Dynasty to appreciate the beautiful scenery and prosperity of Chang’an thousands of years ago.
